Bottoming out

Bottoming out
One of my co-workers is an uncommonly paunchy individual (fat ***). Well, recently he started riding with me to certain job events and there has not been one time I have not bottomed out in the 8 with him shotgun. It usually happens on speed bumps or ramps into parking lots. I don't think it does much damage but wanted to make people aware of the situation. I'm just going to have to tell him next time he's too big to ride.

If you look on ur driver door jam...where the tire inflation pressures are, it says weight of vehicle occupants should not exceed 680lbs. I also think the owner manual states something simliar as well. so if you weigh like 180 lbs and he weighs 400lbs or so, and you have some stuff in your trunk, you can easily exceed the 680lb

That is a tough situation. My only thought is to start with something complementary and then tell him that he is exceeding the capacity of the car.
People usually handle criticisms better if they're followed by a positive comment.
Now you just have to think of something nice to say to him...

Damn how comfortable can he be near 400. I have had someone a bit less then 300 and they said they were cramped. You are getting pretty close to the 680 the owners manual says for max weight.

wow, that's a shitty situation you're stuck in.
1) you dont' want to be an ******* to him and call him FATTY
2) you need to do what's best for your car
are you on OEM suspension?
I vote you start carpooling in his car. Just make up some BS about how shitty your gas mileage has been lately and you wanna save the $$$
