bought an 8

Hey Folks. I just bought a 2005 RX8 from the omaha Auto auction. I have been looking at the forums for quite some time now and it seems like a great place. I got a wicked deal on a 2005 with 625 miles on it. It was from a dealer that had carryover when they shut him down. I could have one of the lowest mile 2005 rx8s out there. its a sport with the appearance package and cloth seats 6spd. I should get it from the trucking company in about a week. I will post some pictures asap.

Congrats I know what you mean. I just picked up my 04 RX8 with a little over 14000 miles on it. Thats not very many miles for 3 years old. Post pics whenever you get them and have fun with it! They're great Cars!

thanks

thanks I hope to be posting a lot more. I will post pics when I get the car. the transport is doing their best to get it to me asap. Im hoping for monday. I pretty much stole the car at 17800. That leaves me with enough left over to get koni yellows and some springs, catless pipe and an intake. I can feel this deal snowballing as we speak.

I am getting rid of my 04 Ion Redline if anyone knows of someone who needs a pocket rocket. I am located in Fargo North Dakota

I work at lunde lincoln mazda in Fargo so I get all parts at cost. I am going to start looking into some mazdaspeed parts when my checkbook stops smoldering from the initial purchase.

Don't forget the AFE short shifter!

If there's snow then get snow wheels/tires

And add location to your profile please...

yeah I should get snowtires but I bet I put on less then 300 miles on in the next few months. and by then it will be warmer so I wont have snow to deal with. And I am moving to Phoenix in November of next year so I dont think this 8 will get to see much snow for awhile. I hear the car is a joke in the snow though. The ones we have put engines into because of the recall get pushed in and out of the shop. they dont even try to drive them.

i have snow tires so i have no problem driving the 8. the only reason i could see them pushing the 8 instead of driving it would be to prevent flooding.

your very welcome !!! and thans for the compliment. I will be installing the mazdaspeed dual canister exhaust on wednesday or thursday. I plan on documenting the whole process as well as making quite a few recordings of the sound. I have a full recording studio setup so I think I can make some pretty good ones.

Every time it snows I wait for enough snow to stick and nighttime I go to a nearby large parking lot to do some donuts and sliding. This car is fine in the snow. Just need snow tires.

It's not as easy as a front wheel drive, but that's cause this is my first rear wheel drive car and my first manual.
