I seem to have a problem. When I step on my brakes i feel like something hanging from my car or the car itself scrapes the ground and actually causes resistance on the pedal. It almost had great affect on me last night when we went riding the canyon roads... I looked under my car and nothing seems to be hanging and it only occurs if i have to press on my brakes hard or in a short period of time... any ideas?????

 

Sounds like the ABS kicking in to me.

yea kind of it vibrates as it seems like it scrapes the ground.. I hope its the ABS kicking in lol I dont know much about cars and if thats it atleast nothings wrong with my car

If the pedal repeatedly vibrates, that would be the ABS kicking in. What it does is rapidly press then let off the pedal to keep your wheels from locking up. If you're hearing/feeling something scraping, though, maybe your brake pads are worn out?

 

I had the same thing happen on my BMW the other day... think it was my ABS but I was just braking normally. what would cause this?

 

i thought u meant it happens even under light braking when we were in the canyons... if its just under hard braking.. and it feels like a sort of grinding with pulsating brake pedal.. then its probably the abs.
