Bringing a RX8 from US to Canada
Hi Everyone,
I want to get throught the border with minimal issues and would like to hear from others what they would do different next time.
1) Is there any modifications that need to be made to a 2008, 2007 RX8 and, if so, do these modifications need to be done before brining the car to Canada?
2) Is the 2007, 2008 RX8 built in North America?
3) Any tips you can provide would be much appreciated.

Check RIV.ca for vehicle qualification. Likely it needs DRL set up.

No. It's made in Hiroshima Japan. So you have to pay 6% duty.
3) Any tips you can provide would be much appreciated.
You better go do some research on importation. It's not difficult. But lots of paper work and some waiting. Can be real worth it. Alternately you can have a broker do it for you for a few hundred dollars.

My experience
I moved to Canada in 2000 and brought my Volvo 850 and Mitsubishi Montero.
I don't recall all the details, but recall anything that unsavory. I didn't have to do anything the day I got there, but had to comply with Canadian law. I did have to have an inspection that I thought was a little pricey, but other than that, it wasn't too bad.
Sorry I don't recall the specifics, but that probably means it wasn't too bad.
