Bubbling paint, cracks and Rust?
Washed my car just last week and noticed a spot where the paint seems to be bubbling. Its on the back edge, just below the window on the back door. I immediately thought rust, but wasn't sure. Have had a couple other folks look it over and it does appear to be rust.
The paint is cracking along the edge of the door and it looks like the beginning of a rust spot. Taking it to the dealer on Tuesday to see what they think and what can be done. If it does end up being rust, I'm getting it fixed and doing the old traderoo - do not want a rust issue after the warranty is gone.
Anyone else having rust issues?
This makes me sick!!
FYI - 2004 Lightning Yellow with 13K miles. Bought it new and have taken really good care of it, but it has not been garaged.
PS I'll do my best to take some pics to see what you guys and gals think, but the car is so bright, it's tough.

Haze, I'm in West Virginia. We do get some nasty weather and they treat our winter roads with salt and cinders (for traction), but this car has not been on winter roads. Have an 01 tracker for that....

Ok, there's a really bad picture of it. But, I think you can see it.
Here's one of the cracks on the inside of the door
It's not the huge black thing at the top (that's dirt)...
about 1/3 of the way down, and then the next spot down that is right on the every edge of the door - cracks in the paint..

i think it is something particular to that area - some kind of bad condition when it was painted (inner seam or cleanliness, etc).
I've had/have some paint issues and only one is stemming from the car as it rolled off of the factory line (and it is least serious...)
I drive my car all year 'round. (edit: with no garage)

I had a couple of blister on the edge of my hood the same as your first picture. I had it fixed and re painted , A year later it was back in exactly the same places. The hood was then replaced.
