A/C cycles all the time???

Has anyone noticed this or is supposed to do it. My a/c runs all the time, even when it is supposed to be off. No It is not on defrost either. I took it to the dealer they told me it was made that way. I called Mazda they said it's not supposed to be that way. But the dealer won't fix it

If the vent is set to your feet, the AC will automatically come on to keep the winshield defrosted but the indicator lamp will not illuminate. Maybe that's what you're seeing.

Arrow You CAN take control...

There IS a way to turn it off......

The system runs, to trys to dehumidify, whenever it is in the defrost or floor positions.

..ergo, the only setting that doesn't have either position is "dash".

Dash will not run the a/c. ...or you could pull the fuse up front that controls the a/c clutch, it's marked "ac clutch" (duh!)

I'll never understand why it tries to dehumidify my feet. Maybe I like my feet moist.

Thanks all, I'll put it on dash vent and see if it quits. Because I'm not sure about that one. It just seemed odd to me. None of my other cars have done that.
