called another dealer, interesting
well most of u may know the fiasco i went thru with my first dealer(irvine mazda) if not, please read this thread from awhile ago.
http://www.rx8forum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=553
the guy i put down my deposit with from irvine mazda is on vacation and he will be back 2moro, at which time i will go and confirm everything.
just for the hell of it i called another dealer to see wtf was going on. i just called tustin mazda, first i asked if he knew what the rx8 was:D , just to make sure, cause there are quite a few clueless dumbasses that work at dealers(refer to previous thread). then i asked him if i could put a deposit and he said yes. i asked how many plp have already putten deposits and he said a few. then i asked if deposit will gurantee me msrp, he said no and that there WILL be a markup. i asked how much and he said $2500. now heres the best part, i then asked when will the first shipments arrive, and he said 1 month!!!!

Did you build/configure your 8 on-line, print it out, and take it down to Irvine Mazda's Sales Manager today? From previous posts you seemed a bit undecided on your decision and looking at the EVO, WRX or STi, Tribal Azn. If you want a piece of the first allocation delivered in late May, slap down your pre-order. If you hem-haw and delay, the next allocation won't be until Fall.

my DC guy said mid-late june when I gave him a check today, but maybe the extra bit of time there is cause of the nav. I really want it early may though, so I can enjoy it for more of the summer months (cruise it down M street in Georgetown with all the other people showcasing cars)
