Can't play MP3 CDs in OEM CD player?

Don't know how many brands Mazda has used but mine is a Pioneer and it plays even the trashiest discs fine. Just asking but you do "close" your disk after recording?

You can get one with a minidisc player?? I didn't think Sony even supported the minidisc format anymore! Best sound I ever got out of a portable music player was the Aiwa MD player I got back in 1999.
That being said, large-capacity mp3 players are so convenient that I switched to an Archos Jukebox 20 in 2001 and never looked back. If you have an iPod, just use a headphone cable to plug into the Aux port and be done with it.

when you burn a MP3 CD and play it (for those that have the mp3 compt. deck) does it show the title/album or artist on the display? How many songs on average does a MP3 CD hold?

MiniDisc ended up being big in Japan and Asia. It was a complete consumer bust here in the US and Europe. Sony still supports MiniDisc. They still have a player/recorder for sale here in the US.

I loved my minidisc player. I still have it. I just never use it anymore because my mp3 player can do the same job without swapping discs.

It will display album/artist, title, or just the track number. You may have to scroll the display to see the entire entry. Mine has 125 tracks on it in (more or less) CD quality with room for about 70mb more (about 10 tracks). Of course, the more you squash your MP3 the more you can put on.
