can't put gaS in the tank
today i want to fill my 8
so i go to the gas station starting to pump some gas
22 cent and the nozzle stop so i try again same thing
and the gas fall out of the tank what the f.....ck
i came back to my home and check inside the tube that lead
to the tank and notice that the little flapper is not there anymore
so i think it fall inside the tube and blocking totaly the acces
i try to push it down in the tank but i think the tube is taper because it didn't
work
do you know if the tube and the tank are 2 different pieces?
maybe i can take out the tube and push it outside
thanks

maybe you used the diesel pump?? they're different sizing. maybe the nozzle on the pump is messed up, lots of people use that one nozzle, maybe it's bent. maybe the tank is really full, maybe a really stale cheesepuff is lodged down in the tube causing a major blockage for the gas. have your dealer check it out.

The dealer seems to be the right answer though...but watch those guys--they're about as trust worthy as some of your local lube shops. :o

I see the gas, it's like if the tank is
fill up to the edge of the filling tube the
gas don't go in the tank at all
that's why I'm almost sure that the problem
is in the tube.

This happened to me once on my other car. It's most likely the nozzle itself. At first I was worried...but just tried another pump and worked fine. Dont buy gas at Bob's Gas & Putt Putt Golf:-)

This happened to me on my old GTi and then on my 8 it's how you're putting it into the "tube". When you put the nozzle in do not push it as far down as it can go it will stop pumping. You have to take it have it a little less then all the way down in there, it's hard to explain but give it a try. Usually it works when you change nozzles too, but from what you say i think it can avoided by not pushing the nozzle in the tank all the way.
