Car Alarm?

Remote start is not a good idea (in my opinion at least) on a manual. If you have an auto, do whatever you want. If you have manual, you have to bypass the clutch pedal sensor and you can't leave the car in gear when parked.

i have the viper 5901. i have yet to have the remote start installed, but the rest of the alarm is awesome. i have the motion sensor/tilt sensor. i would have had the remote start installed but no shop would do it. eventually i will have it installed, since i do not park in gear. just pull up the e-brake, and if your on a hill just turn the wheel.

I have the Viper 5901 as well. Just the alarm. No remote start or door/trunk control. I set it up this way on porpose. My friend installed it and has asked me if I want the remote start but I just dont for a few reasons. Other than the battery life on the paging remote, it is pretty solid.

Viper Alarm, or most aftermarket alarm are nothing but a joke.
before I know cars like I am right now, I thought they're pretty solid. but now, most of these alarms are nothing but an expensive toy.
biggest reason is ---- its too easy to disable them. I rather save the money for mods than getting any aftermarket alarm.
