Car help.

I need some advice on my 05 RX-8. Currently my car is in the toliet right now, but I've been blowing big $$$ to fully restore her. Here are Three Main Big Ones:

I'm always hearing chirping sounds coming under the car, but it hard to pin point it. It sounds like its the exhaust, but I'm not sure cuz the exhaust makes a puff putt sound (not all the time). Could it be the cat.?

I also hear a chrip and a knock on the driver side wheel (as if I ran over something) EVERY time I make a slow left turn.

Side Note: When my car shutters (missing) how can I pin point if it is the spark plugs or the coils?

Ok now here is the biggest problem, my car shakes (the dashboard, steering wheel, glove compartment, pretty much everything rattles every time I stop or put it in reverse. Its really annoying. The mechanic say's it must be the engine mounts cuz I had my engine replaced three times.

Any help?

No idea, doubt it's the cat. There is a donut between the cat and the catback that could possibly do it.

Check the swaybar link and see if that's loose.

Got a timing light? Clip it to each spark plug lead to see if one isn't working right?

It is possible, it could be a motor mount problem. I have had my engine replaced 3 times also. My motor mounts are OK. Do you have a automatic transmission? Could the shaking be coming from that?
Any help?

It is an automatic, but why could the tranny be doing the shaking?

I'm guessing the shaking is from the need of new motor mounts. The chirping noises, not sure. Did you run over a bird?

Transmission mounts maybe. My truck was doing the same thing a couple weeks ago so I replaced the transmission mounts and problem solved.

Chirpping on my left wheel

I fixed all but one. When I make a slow left turn, I no longer hear a knock on th driver side wheel instead I hear a whole lot of chirpping. As if something is squeaking really bad. Now it only occours when I make a slow left turn and I mean I can hear this chirpping with my windows down, its sounds annoying. What could it be?

The stock brakes have a little piece of metal designed to chirp when worn out; I haven't heard it and almost no one else here has because they're **** about replacing to their favorite pad asap.

I made the knock sound on the wheel once when I only hand tightened it and didn't torque.

Should be easy fix from here.

As for the vibration; always make sure you have good coils or major trouble comes soon.

Brake pad?

You really think its the brakes? When I stop at a stop sign (also when pulling up into my drive way, or any slow left turns) and then press on the gas alittle when making the left turn thats it when I hear the chripping noise. Its only the left side.

Another problem

Update: Well I took car most of the problems, but there's a new one. I just recently replace all the coils, spark plug wires, belts and spark plugs. When I went to pick up my car the mechanic informed me that they could not remove one of the spark plugs (T2) that it has seizied up in the rotor housing. They cannot remove it without striping the threads. I called Mazda and they informed me that they might have to take apart the engine and use some machine of theirs. I don't know how much that will cost me. I don't know what to do? Any advice here?

The only chirp I have heard is a coil going bad, that is usually only at start up.

Ditto on Liquid Wrench, Lot better than a tear down.

There is stuff in the $100 thread below, clean the MAF, check grounds, and such that may help, and are not a bad idea for an older model. They made a big difference in my 04.

Another option on the plug is to warm the engine, then spray something cold, like computer duster on the plug, turn can upside down to get liquid. The idea is to get the plug cold (small), while the hole is hot (large). Might break the plug, but unlikely.
