Car messed up with on its first day out...

I live at the very end of a 3-block long cul-de-sac - so about 20 houses on my street that I pass by to go anywhere. Because of kids, etc. in the neighborhood, I almost never go more than 20 through the neighborhood. Yet there are two neighbors on my street who constantly bitch to other neighbors (they don't have the ***** to say it to me) about how I'm constantly speeding up and down the street in "that damn yellow sports car".
I have also heard from various neighbors that they also talk about us and "how much money they must make" - it's a weird setup - damn near the entire neighborhood is still owned by the people that built the houses nearly 20 years ago - and most of them wouldn't be able to buy in the neighborhood now due to how the property values have risen. We bought three years ago for a price that's close to 3x what these people paid to build the houses. So they see the car and they rumor that "what does that guy do to afford a house that sold for XXX,XXX and drive a $60,000 car" ... $60,000??? LOL

Also, the word "cul-de-sac" is hilarious.

This is so got damn true. Clean and polish the car, get into weird incidents, stares, odd comments, etc... Dirty car, much, much less. Damn hot looking RX-8....haha...
I'm amazed at the amount of simple minded jealous and hate there is.
I get stares all the time. I now know what a hot female with the perfect body must feel like. I can deal with that, but not the b.s. sickos that say and do stupid crap.
The latest episode was somebody slamming their car door into my car, leaving a small dent. So damn sad, I'm starting to wonder if there is any hope for the human race.

Regarding OP: Sorry to hear that. I have not yet been a victim of that nonsense. I just do not understand what the hell is wrong with people.
I grew up poor as hell. Never had an ounce of hatred toward people with nice cars. I was just appreciative to seen one. I have chastised my friends in highschool for almost throwing rocks at a Porsche and yelled at a stranger for opening his door into a 350Z. I just don't freakin get it.
