The WRX and Evo are very capable machines. But at the end of the day they're boy racer uprated mini-hatches. A college grad deserves better.
btw: my '8 is still fun every time I drive it and has responded well to the relatively few mod's I have performed. So, the recommendation to buy a lightly used '8 and throw the saved cash at it is a viable alternative to a new 370Z.

Thank you all guys I really do appreciate the advice, I was kinda hoping to shorten up my list of cars I like. Cause at one point I was reviewing and possibly looking and wanting more than 20+ cars. So I used to drive a Miata so I got used to a nice handling car and then got stuck in a four door Chrylser for college...so I think I've paid my dues in patiences with a boring...slow...poor handling...frequent break down of cars. But I do have two other cars that nobody seemed to mention the Impreza WRX STi and the Lancer Evo...but I have nixed the Eclipse, still the RX8 is at the top with the Z right behind I will eventually test drive and let you guys know what I thought...hopefully I will be apart of your club :D but any other things to say about the Evo and STi?

So is this your daily driver?
Where about in the country do you live? i.e. does it see snow?
Do you want a sports car or just a sporty car?
If it's not your daily driver, you don't see snow, and you want a sports car, go with the 370z.

1) The rx8 and 370z are both fantastic RWD sports cars. The eclipse is a sporty 2 door car, but I would never consider it a "sports car". In driving characteristics and abilities, the nissan and mazda are in a whole different category, and if that's what you want for god's sake pleasedon't buy the elipse. For what its worth I LOVE the way the eclipse looks, and it has a good engine, but it's not going to be nearly as good of a driving experience.
2) Do some calculations for fuel and insurance costs, and factor those in. Get actual quotes for the different cars using your real other information. The rx8 is a bit of a toss-up, some people pay a lot and some people pay almost nothing, i think different carriers consider it differently (some think it's a 4 door sedan and some think it's a hot sports car). The rx8 will cost you a moderately higher cost in fuel.
3) I agree that getting a slightly used car, in your personal/financial situation, is probably a better move. Just ask lots of questions and be sure that the owner knew how to take care of the car.
