Car wont start (rapid ticking). Dying battery?
I did not leave any lights on overnight and drove the car yesterday with no problems.
I tried to start it today and I get a rapid "tic-tic-tic-tic" sound until I stop turning the ignition.
I am thinking it might be from a weak battery but I was able to put my headlights on no problem. I am charging it now. *fingers crossed*
Any other ideas?

I got the car started after charging the battery for a few hours.
I hooked up my Cobb AP and was monitoring the battery voltage @ idle and it was reading 13.9v. Then after a 20min drive I turned off the car and it was @ 11.8v.
Do those numbers seem normal?

The reason the voltage was normal while the engine was idling is because the alternator was topping off the battery. If it is at 11.8 when the car has been turned off, the battery has at least one weak cell and should be replaced.
