Careless kids
So ive had my 2006 gray shinka for what, 4 months, then crap like this happens;
I was at work today, its alittle after 5pm and almost time to go, when one of the guards tells me some kid let a shopping cart go right at my car.
We have our own parking lot and on the side of the lot are the backsides of buildings for a shopping center on the other side. Well, one of the buisnesses is a chineese food place, and the back door to the place was directly behind my car (about 20-30ft away with an incline as you get close to the buildings)
It turns out the owners kid was bringing in some groceries or something through the back, after he/she (cant remember, I was too pissed staring at my car) was done, according to the guard, the kid let the cart go and it went straight down to my car, scratching up the drivers side before hitting the wall. The guard says he was yelling at the kid while the cart was rolling down but the kid just stared at the guy.
Another one of the guards says the kid actually threw the cart down, with my car being one of the few left, since i leave later then most. The guard told me one of my coworkers who was leaving was close by and got a good view of the whole thing. Ill go talk to her tomarrow.
I get **** about **** like this, and those scratches are still gonna catch my eye and bug the hell outta me every time I go to get in my car especially when there is NO damn reason this should have ever happend.
The owner came out while I was checking my car, seemed like a nice guy and I dont like being an A hole, but I need to find a shop that can take car of long, thin scratches really good and Im gonna ask him to foot the bill, any recomendations around San Bernardino, CA and/or price estimates??

What a pain in the ***.
Kids are mentally handicapped. All of them. If the parents/guardians make up for it (and they should if it was accidental or not) I'm sure they will be none too happy with the kids.
Be kind but insistent. Good luck.

does it help if I tell you of my story, heh, heh, its a long one and I'm sure it would not help change what has happened to all of us that has had similar circumstances, .....I will stay anonymous, and vow the code of silence

Some bastard in his done up Explorer parked literally 6 inches from my car in the back of a parking lot with 10 empty spaces either way. Could tell it was a kid by the high school parking sticker. Dont know if he was just showing off to his friends or really just stupid. Either way I let a big f*ckin loogie out on his windshield and his drivers side window. Luckily there werent any marks on my car where his door would have been or it would have been worse for him....

yeah i feel really sorry for you, how old was that kid though? i dought that he pushed the cart against such a beauty of car... people do pay less attention to the surroundings though these days
i dont know how it is in usa, but in switzerland where i live, people start walking across the street w/o even looking if there is a car coming - not being on that strip where pedestrians cross the street (dont know the word in english)
i also think i know why people get less carefull, cause there is too many rules, and laws and such things that take away the responsibility of yourself. if your a kid they think aaa my parents will handle this and so on, do u understand what im trying to say?

Kids are getting more stupid nowadays. They're too busy with the ipod earbuds jammed in their heads wondering how much mommy and daddy are going to give them this week to spend on their useless existance. I just hope there is a swing the other way when people figure out what a disservice they have done to our society by spoiling their kids. I think most parents feel guilty because they both work, so they buy their kids everything...a whole generation of entitlement attitude youth. WOE IS ME!!!
