catalytic coverter affecting gas mileage?
Can anyone clear this up for me? I heard someone say on this site that if your car has has been flooded or excess gas has been left in the cat from flooding that it can resrict flow and cause poor gas mileage, heard that the only way to tell is if you can smell sulfer.

The reason is that when you flood it and you *De-flood* it by using Mazda's way. You will *push* all the unburned fuel into the Cat. So when you *Start* your car up, your Cat will start burning because it has fuel on it. It will burn for maybe a few secounds because theres not much *Fuel* there but that few seconds will be more than enough to make something *lose* in there. when its lose, it will block the airflow until everything is *burn out*

Then the cliff's notes:
I took it to another dealership; they took care of me. It's there now AGAIN for what I suspect is another cat-failure.

I dont understand your
"the dealer is telling me i have to change my cat and put the stock one, and i cant rev my car or go fast with it becuz it wont push."
Does that mean you already back to stock Cat and exhaust ?
If yes then, its not CAT's problem or whatever, someelse is wrong.

Last time it was a gradual loss of power.
