Check engine light!!!!

Okay, here's a recap: I have had my motor replaced. When I took it in for the motor replacement, the CEL was NOT on or flashing. I have since put in a new battery, new clutch. When I left the shop, the coils were on back order so my CEL was flashing. Okay, I get that. Just took it in today and had new coils, new plugs and new plug wires put in. The tech still cannot figure out why the CEL is still flashing. Any suggestions??

CEL could be soooooo many things....just have it read at an autozone or a shop with a code look up.

A flashing CEL usually mean misfire...make sure the plugs are in the correct spot, and the right coils are connected to the right plugs.....

And................on tight!
The leading one tends to wiggle loose on some people.

Plus, it probably wouldn't hurt to do one or two of the resets.
Here's a link, I'm too lazy to type them out!

Hi again. I just wanted to give you an update. My car's been in the shop since Thursday for the CEL and they finally found the problem today. Apparently there was a vacuum line pinched in the manifold, problem solved. Thanks for listening to a girl complain and pout for her missing 8. I am soooo looking forward to picking it up tomorrow. It's been too long since I've seen red in my blackbeauty.

Glad they figured it out. At 95K here and have had many a CEL lights, all of which were minor things. This last time faulty gas cap.
