Unhappy Check engine light and battery light goes on, help?

This is my first thread so dont chew my ***=/, well today i was driving back from the hospital, almost on my way home i was going down a hill so i had decided to put my car on neutral, after that my rev meter starting being a lil jumpy, not to high but noticeable; a few seconds later my battery light goes on my check engine light goes on and my oil light goes on and then my oil meter just drops to low, its as if my motor had just died then i pulled her back to 5th gear and it was fine. im 50miles overdue an oil change... do u think this is the cause of it? any ideas? thanks

First. Welcome.
Second. Wrong section.
Thrid. Have the code pulled.

Check your oil level.
Have your battery/alternator checked. If your alternator is going it could trigger a DTC (low voltage)

Go from there

If this seems rude...Im drunk

Your engine stalled while you were in neutral. That's why all the lights. When you put it into fifth while coasting, you roll started it back to life. No alternator problem.

The question is why did it stall? How many miles; have you replaced plugs ...? What year is the car and how many miles on it.

An oil change being 50 miles overdue wouldn't cause this.

It could be any number of things from a clogged air filter, to a dirty MAF, to bad plugs to bad engine seals. Could be anything.

I don't know. Seems more polite than my post, and I'm sober. I think that I'll go grab a bottle of whiskey.

Why the hell do people come in here and they have a check engine light but don't know what the code is. We can't miracle why your CEL light is on, get it pulled then let us know.

Now you should have a couple of drinks. If the previous posts seemed a little rude, this was outright nasty.

Also, if you had read the OPs post, the light didn't stay on. It went off with all the other lights when his stalled engine restarted. You could try thinking before you post. Even drunk people do that.

I'm allowed to have a pissed off day after working 19 hours. I'm surely not going to take it out on the dog.
