hey guys, so tonight when i was driving i was in second gear and changed at 8500 rpm and everything was pretty normal BUT my check engine light came off, it stayed blinking for about 5 seconds and then it when off. This is the firts ever that i get a check engine light. The manual didnt say much it only said to record the conditions while driving and it was at 8 30 pm and temperature was about 2C so like 30 F , i just added oil 2 days ago so i dont think that was the problem (however i did notice that when i added oil last month and checked the next day the level was at about 75% and same happened today, i checked the oil as soon as i got home and the level was at abot 80% and it was 99% 2 days ago and yea i waited about 5 minutes after turning my car off tbefore checking the oil )the temp gauge was just before the middle as always in my car. My only idea was about the gas since for the first time i got gas at costco. I got premium as always but i dont know if i should trust costco gas since as i read yesterday that it might not have all the additives as shell gas for example so it might burn a bit dirtier? the manual said the o2 sensor could get the check engine light going
Any thoughts? really would like some help guys

if you searched you would know when CEL is blinking it means you have misfires.
when was the last time you replaced spark plugs and ignition coils?

Thanks for the quick response! I actually just read another response by you when searching about cels that talked about the misfire lol i didnt do a good enogh search the first time! and i did my sparkplugs about 2 weeks ago but i dont know when was the last time the coils were done and im planning to replace them very soon ! I also was wondering why it only happened once because i went to 8500 rpm about 3 minutes later also in second gear same conditions just to see if i would get the ight again and i didnt come off was it just a random misfire? Thanks again!

yeah just a random misfire, you might as well replace the coils sooner than later, the older they get the more misfires you're going to get

could be just a random misfire. run a can of seafoam in a tank of gas.
also red line frequently at least once a day see if it comes back.

Yea i got my engine cleaned with the mazda zoom zoom cleaner thing at the dealer and i got a compression test done right after and the pressure were about 750-790 kPa so like 100 -115 psi dont know the exact convertion and yea i redline about 1-3 times a day and this was the first time i got a misfire and definetly im gonna get my coils done really soon. And any comments on costco "premium" gas? would you trust it for your baby?
