I live in SoCal and here I see primarily women driving RX8's around. Also people on the net seem to consider the RX8 a "chick's car" as well. Been reading around on these forums for a few days and I noticed there are quite a few women who post here as well.

I like this car because it's unique in almost every respect, and I hear it handles exceptionally well. But what about it attracts women to it soo much?

 

Because the car looks good.

Who cares if women drive and RX-8. I have seen women who race their RX-8 as well (gasps of shock) If you like the car, if you enjoy it and are happy with it what other people view your car as shouldn't matter. My brother tells me all the time "your car is slow" I don't care, Im happy with my car and it isn't exactly slow anyways.

 

yes all the people in socal that own an 8 are chicks. then there are the members of this forum- all chicks as well.

The rx8 is an "enthusiasts" car. I live in socal also and work at Mazda dealership. All the female customers who drive rx8 that I've seen or met are either gorgeous or extremely intelligent or both. So who cares! The rx8 is a great car. An example of a "chick" car would be Volkswagen beetle!

 

I see more dudes out here in Houston in the 8--eventhough I have seen quite a few ladies in it.

 

i see more guys driving 8s... mainly cuz i go to rx8 meets.

Chicks like the RX-8 because it's curvy and looks sleek. Does that make it a chick car? Some people say yes. Keep in mind most people are pretty stupid so it may not concern you what they think. You would see even more chicks in this car if it cost a little less. Girls would drive Corvettes if they were cheaper.

Sleek, curvy car + low price (~$20k) = lots of chicks driving it

 

I see plenty of ATs driven by women here. Only see a guy driving one every once in a while.

 

Maybe you are right. So you think if a F430 cost say....35grand, we'd a rash of women going out to purchase them?

I have noticed that girls (highschoolers mostly) like to drive Z28 camaros and even HEMI chargers AND even big 'ol raised trucks!

Is there no car safe from them?

Well, I certainly would, especially if I could get it in fluorescent pink metallic for that price!!!!!

 

I bought the 8 for lots of reasons.....looks and handling are tops on the list...in my area most are driven by men....even tho Im a chick, I would hardly classify it as a chicks car...
if you like the car you buiy it....it doesnt matter if youre a guy or a chick...

I "know" its an enthusiasts car because I have one. I've loved cars all my life. I know alot of people whine and complain about this or that about the rx8. I think its one of the best cars I've ever owned.

 

He drive a g35 so the 0-60 isn't as fast as his car so its "slow"

He did drive it on the track and knows that the car is beautiful on the track =D

i girlfriend said that a bird's eye view of the front of the car looks like a *****, maybe that has something to do with it.

Seriously though, I've seen very few women driving RX-8's, and when I do it's either in serious need of a wash or an AT--usually both.
