Choice between cars, any suggestions?

No, no troll. Remember, I'm not going to be tracking it a lot, it's my DD. I don't know much about them (crossfire), they were just a RWD in the horsepower category I was looking at, and were relatively inexpensive used. I'm just at a toss up, I know what I want HP / TQ and 1/4th time wise. Handling I'm used to the RSX-S which has good handling, but **** for actual turning.. The problem is I want them all, and have to chose one. I'll be happy with any of them from what I've played with so far.. I've got this problem when it comes to car buying, where I switch what I want from that list once a day -.-;.. I should just pick randomly out of a hat :o.. and thanks again for the responses guys, on clubrsx I would never have gotten serious responses.

For what you are looking to do, and what you want a car to do, let me share a few suggestions.
E36 Bimmers. They can be had cheap, they are VERY reliable, but parts can be a little expensive. Front engine RWD with almost 200HP in the 2.5 or larger motors
240sx. Yep, I said it. They are a GREAT car and super easy to work on. Great MPG, and the aftermarket support is incredible.
RX8 - Obvious choice. But they are not for everyone. You need to be a little more of an aware owner than you do for most other cars. Great in all catagories except MPG
Lexus SC300 or IS300. You will be hard pressed to find one in the price range you are looking at, but they are out there. That is the 2JZ-GE engine from the notorious SUPRA. Ya, they have power to spare, and luxury if that is something you may want.
Toyota MR2. I am kinda bias here, cuz I am a huge fan of these little cars. They can be found cheap, and the turbo models can be modded to scary speeds.

If you have the time, learn to use this. Its a house of quality, where you weigh the importances and what you want in your vehicle. Then you rank each vehicle in each category.
IE.
Is cost a big factor? then rank it higher
how does the vehicle drive in snow conditions? rank each vehicle on what you think
MPG? rx8 has lets say 18 mpg(give or take), a civic has 25mpg(? could be more or less just pulling off the top of my head). So you would rank the civic higher than the rx8 in mpg.
I hope you get the point. I use the HOQ for designing projects at school and it helps a lot. The same principle can be used in selecting what car you want to buy.

I used to own an MR2 Turbo myself. Upgraded to about 250 whp, not much but it suited me. The engine(never opened) had 175k original miles on it and was still running strong when I got rid of it.

Ive worked for a chrysler dealer for 4 years, DO NOT BUY A CROSSFIRE. Trust me on this; theyre a pain in the *** and if they break down they're extrememly expensive to repair.

I DD an Integra Type-R. It's one of the most fun cars I have ever driven, but it is lacking a bit in the creature comfort department. I can let it slide to hear the sound she makes.
I don't know how Chicago is for R thefts, but I would seriously research that before jumping into one. It is a little nerve racking leaving them in a parking lot in a big city. I've had mine stolen (and recovered) once already. If not for the theft concerns, I'd completely recommend it. It's a car which defines the phrase "more than the sum of it's parts"
EDIT:
I just read all the posts and saw you're leaning S2K and RX8. I have driven both extensively, and relative to the R I'd say they're both more refined but less practical and IMO less fun. Since I was shopping for a daily, the hatchback of the R was a real selling point. I have crammed so much stuff in my car on roadtrips, trackdays etc. It's a super versatile car.

Awesome man, I love the BlackR's. I wish we got those in Canada. I had to settle for the CW.
Sorry for the thread jack.

I don't have to worry about it at my house or anything as I sleep next to a .17hmr Marlin :P.. (stupid raccoons were getting the fish out of our pond) but elsewhere I would have to worry about it. Though, I don't really go many places besides Class and Work, @ class there are too many people around for anyone to truck it out if I get a fuel cutoff or something. Also too many nosey people there for anyone to try to steal it. I work at a gun store right now and have a clear view into the parking lot, so anyone who steals out of that is just stupid.

then seriously, I would consider a type R. That was an awesome car, probably my favorite of all time. Good for the money, better on gas than the 8, and a wonderful performing car. Test drive one, you'll get what I mean man.

Thanks for the advice everyone, got a 2001 Prelude w/ 50k miles on it for 9500 after taxes and titling. Going to go with a complete N/A Setup with it. The big star on my mod list for it is aggressive cams ;].. going to talk to my friend who's a prelude buff and have him make some suggestions on that route. Thanks for all your help guys!
