I would go for the r34 but there it will b hard to find one that won't need work for that price....but in that price range you might find an 04 rx8 with higher mileage (maybe) or the prelude

well most rx8 04 had there engine replaced so get the rx8 and find the one that needed a recall with the engine,so you get one with low mileage you can find out on carfax

I'll get pics once I find my camera. Going to throw a bunch of stickers and random JDM stuff on it, everyone knows the rule of thumb being; stickers = 4-5 whp, JDM stuff = 10-12 whp. Also debating making a wing out of some 2 by 4s and some plywood so I get more fwd traction

i got my 05 rx8 with 19k miles on it for 14,500, which i admit was a really great deal, but you should be able to get one with low miles for that. Go for it, unless you find a good g35 for that price in which case ill buy it from you

yeah the type r is a very reliable but if you are looking for something that is more on the rare side DO NOT GET THE TYPE R everyone and their brother has one and then their brother's brother has one and then their kids of that broter have one that they use to drive around as a field beater....u get what i'm saying they are everywhere but good relieable cars

honestly dude go what you desire for...all the choices seem reasonable, however im not a fan of honda so honda would be last on my list. id try to get a stock car rather than an older skyline that is going to have problems and that is modified (which means its beated on).
if you want to buy used id go for a n/a engine because with FI motors, you dont know how they treated the car and that they allowed proper idle time for the oil to get outta the turbo.
just a few things you should consider

Eww? SRT-4? People would think I was driving a lawnmower around. No, I got the Prelude, going full on N/A for a while because they sound badass and the H22A pulls like a muffa, it's awsome. I can hands down say the driving experience in the Prelude >'s the RSX-S hands down. Just as quick off the line for a good driver, but the handling on the lude is just better.
