I'm in St. Paul, MN and in May of this year paid $525 for the 3M Clear Guard (or whatever it is called) installed on the entire front bumper, front 18-inches of the hood and fenders, and mirrors. Seemed like most around here were charging about that much. It looks pretty good for the most part and I am happy to have the protection on my black 8 because I tend to want to be going faster than the flow of traffic so occasionally find myself not too far behind cars, but was extremely upset about the poor work by the installer. even though i researched installers it still ended up with a few wrinkles / bubbles / bunched areas (in places that are difficult to see fortunately). i made a post about it in the local forums.

Bottom line, if you have it done, research installers AND try to see an example of their work first. Good luck!

The Michigan "WANKEL"
I was quoted $995 for the (reputable) installer in my area. I had no doubt he would do a fantastic job; I just decided $1000 wasn't worth it, especially since it would make a visible line across the hood, and I would have to be more careful about cleaning the wax out of that edge. This was for 3M.

Clear Bra
Mine came with a clear bra, and it looks great. It is effective at eliminating rock chips. It has been on for 5 years and 55k miles. I removed the portion of the clear bra over the front lower lip spoiler, because it had taken some abuse. I just peeled it off at a 45 degree angle, and revealed perfect paint underneath.
Best of luck!

No experience here but have been contemplating this one from Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mazda...item518d0b972a found in another thread. For $60 its worth a try if you have patience.
