Clear Corners... let's have a discussion. lol

here's the thing: A car should be one color, which is the color of the paint. All other colors should be chrome (badges) and red/white for lenses. That's why all the newest cars have only red/white lenses and not amber. Amber looks old. Whire and red look like the car is made in the 2000s.
Probably why the higher-end BMWs, Audis, etc chnage the stock rear lights to just red/white and no orange.

Most high end cars come in US spec and rest of the world spec. US regulations require that there be an amber light and reflector at the front corner. The reflector part of this is the key, that's why you don't see clear corners with amber bulbs. Most of the pics that are posted above are US spec. Euro spec cars will have either a clear corner with amber bulb or in some cases nothing at all (Euro and JDM regulations require a side repeater, which in most cases is the small oval light behind the front wheel).
Euro spec (side repeater is clear LED strip behind front wheel):

Anyway, you get the point. The rest of the world is certainly moving away from amber lenses... let's face it, they aren't pretty. They are still required on new cars in the US and that's why we have amber corners and the rest of the world has clears.

In defense of your accuser, Krankor, I have noticed, particularly in the news from Europe, a resurgent anti-semitic undercurrent. We should all be sensitive to this sort of thing and your post could have been taken either way. (hence my post after yours.)
If Blazing Saddles wasn't anti semitic (anti everything!), I dont know what is.

Awesome post, Aipex8! I love the smartass remarks by you other guys. It's nice to see a board where people can take a joke.
Yes, the old McLaren looks great- but it would look greater and more up to date with clears.

I've seen Mel Brooks' "Blazing Saddles" and I detest the movie! It is the epitome of racism and ignorace. There was not one good joke, scene, or line in the entire movie. It should be burried on the moon along with its director, IMHO. The world would fair much better without idiots like Brooks.
