CLOSE encounter with deer fawn!!

I have had my 8 for about 3 weeks now and am lovin' every minute of it. Today i was driven down a busy street in milwaukee (76th) when out from no where comes a deer fawn, haulin ***!
I was goin about 40-45 and by the time i saw it, it was about 5 feet in front of me and 5 feet to the left, movin right! With no time to hit the break i slammed the wheel to the right and missed it by only inches i'm sure. Thank god!! The guy behind me was in awe of how close it was. He drove past me with his mouth open, shaking his head and giving me the thumbs up. I cant belive how the 8 handled this extreme manuver! One thing is for sure if i would have been in my pick-up truck I'd be eatin venision tonight! I LOVE THIS CAR!

I've had the same thing happen with dogs a lot- they just jump out in front of me, I think "oh god, I'm going to hit that animal" and the car just kind of magically swerves around them.

Deer, in particular, concern me. I see them all the time, particularly at sunset, but usually only after I'm very, very close -- too close to react.

Nice to hear these kinds of stories about the 8's impeccible maneuverabilities. Right on!

anyone who use to not have HIDs on a previous car and has the HIDs now notice how at night deer's eyes reflect a lot more light than they used to....i mean im seeing deer way off the road too just from their eyes.

I don't know why cars don't have built-in deer whistles.

Because they don't work.

In Maryland, you can actually get a ticket for hitting a deer. Something about always being in control of your car. A State Trooper buddy of mine told me this but he'd have to be a real d*ck to actually write you a ticket after you just destroyed your car because a deer jumped out in front of you.

Deer whistles don't work.

We have more deer than cars where I live. I live next to Chateau Elan Winery. Deer love grapes.

I can bowhunt from my deck.
