Clutch gave out... TAK needs help...

HI everyone!!!

TAK asked me to post this for him

He has been having squeeky noise when he releases the clutch for a while..

Recently he has been having extremely difficulty getting into 1st and reverse to the point where getting into a gear was not happening....

He was driving today and his clutch would not engage. It got stuck and it clutch pedal would not come down.....

The clutch pedal was contourted to the right (towards the shift ****)

He is asking for any ideas what the issue could be..

Car was towed to Mazda.

Thanks on behalf of TAK.

My clutch just went, and someone (I think it was CharlesRHill) told me that some cars had problems with the clutch levers. Apparently the welds could come loose and cause the clutch to never fully disengage when the pedal was pressed. Have him look under the clutch pedal itself as either he or somebody else pushes the clutch pedal down. Look for separation along the welds. The fact that his pedal is off to the side and not straight up and down the normal range of motion could be because of one of them became loose.

Other than that, if it's not going to be covered under warranty I can only recommend the ACT clutch and Prolite flywheel combo I got installed last week. If it comes to that I could meet him somewhere so he could take a quick spin and see if he likes it.

Good luck.
