Cobra & Rx-8 Pics

Hey All, I was going into a Walmart just before I sold my Cobra and ended up parking next to a nice Red Rx-8 and took some pics.

I sold the Cobra a few weeks ago, and I've been debating over getting a used Rx-8. Just still not 100% sure on it, may just drive my Ranger through winter and then get one in the spring...

I think I'll really enjoy the Rx-8. It is a nice looking car and real fun to drive. I think I'll like one if I ever get one.

Anyway here are some pics I took.

More Pics are here

Thanks guys, I didnt sell the Cobra FOR the rx-8... I decided to sell the cobra a while ago, I'm looking to buy a house.

And I figured a nice car would be the rx-8.

Nice car.

And I'd definitely reccomend test driving the 8 before you buy. If you're coming from an even more powerful (and high-torque) car like a Cobra, the 8 will probably feel a bit underwhelming off the line. The big tradeoff is the amazing stability and handling; something you just have to experience firsthand to really appreciate.

And I'm not sure what part of the country you're in, but if you're expecting snow, you'll have to buy all-seasons, or dedicated snow tires, to make it through the winter. The 8's high-performance summer tread will leave you stranded in no time. So... if the Ranger is already prepped for the oncoming weather, I'd definitely wait until spring.

Whatever you choose, good luck!

yea you might feel a little underpowered. The torque will definetly not be there compared to that of the cobra..but the handling will surprise you..test drive test drive

I parked close like that just to take a few pics. Then I moved to another parking spot.

And I have test drove a few before. I am not looking for the power or torque I had in the Cobra. If so I would have kept the Cobra, or considered something else.

I think the Rx-8 is a real nice car, and where it doesnt have straight line speed, it makes up for in other areas.
