cold weather warm engine starting issue

Hi all, I have a velocity red 04 with about 55000kms on it and I'm having an weird issue when I start it back up shortly after I turn it off where it seems like the engine is flooded, I've always managed to get it running by going through the flooded engine procedure but I'm trying to find out if this is a warning sign to a more serious issue before I take it to the dealer. So far this has only happened during the winter when it is around -25 C, and the engine is warm, it also happens if I do the cold engine shut down procedure.

make sure you "dont turn it off while it's still cold". once you start it, you have to let it warm, and you shut it off. if you shut it off immediately after you turn it on you will flood it

Well sir I have been having similar temps here in Ohio and know that some folks in my neck of the woods have the same trouble. Is it parked outdoors? It might just be too cold if that is the case. The rotary is a different engine for sure, but when spring comes your car will be sure to please.

original starter and battery? try a new battery...

starting compression is lower once the engine is warmed up... right guys? maybe a little premix to offset that...

good luck, and keep them rotors spinning~!
