Which color accentuates the RX8's personality best?
I sold my black rx8 a year ago and man do I regret it. That car has my heart so I'm looking across the country for a perfect one for my taste.
I love how sinister and beautiful the black looks (although I was washing the car 3 times a week) I called her the black gem.
White seems to grab the curves a bit better and I personally like the pearl white on black rims look. However it seems a bit misleading for what the car stands for. It's a bit. Plain.
Red is sporty and flashy. I do like red.
silver is nice and classy with a good set of rims. Gives the curves justice.
Blue has character, although it's not my style.
Anyways what are your guys thoughts. Not just "whats your favorite color' but what color actually captures the beauty, and personality in the car? I'm leaning on menacing black.

I would say that a custom paint (possibly a green?) best captures the "personality" of the RX8 (given its unique engine design).
Short of that, other "rare"/"unique" colors like yellow fit the same build.
Silver is perhaps the best at capturing the lines of the car, depending on the lighting conditions.

Sorry, forgot to add the reasons why. I love dark colors on the RX-8, primarily because of how much more aggressive the car looks. Followed by copper red, which in my opinion is just the right shade of red; not too bright and flashy like velocity red is. Then we have whitewater pearl and galaxy gray which are great colors to pull off a classy look with some changes.

We pored over the color samples, and happily settled on Galaxy Gray. It was fate. When we went to the local dealer, a Galaxy Gray with exactly the options I wanted was on the showroom floor.

Black it don't shout out look at me!!!!!! Like red and yellow do. White is just to plain it has no character unlike the 8 it's self (my Oldsmobile is white and suits it well as it is a every day car). Gray isn't at the top of the list but I have no negative things for it. Green really! You must be the guy that owns the camo painted vett I've seen (that's a hells no). A deep purple or blue I could see as good colors but my pick is black it can blend in so when you rev her up next to that mustang or vett and you didn't see that cop he looks at them not you it's hard to spot at night and like a woman I'd rather the little black dress than the red one cause guys let's be honest the red dress is cool and sexy but the black one is sleek sexy and well you get the point

When I first seen the copper red I thought Mazda made a mistake making a burgundy car. After a few years and seeing it stand out between all of the other colors the copper red and white seats really gives the car a unique and fun look, like it asking to be driven all of the time.
Other than that black make the car look so mean can't go wrong with any color other than black and orange lol

I am biased to black but if I had to do it over again, I would hold out for a yellow, blue, white or grey.
I like the look of black but hate the up keep. I had a grey Ranger prior to my 8 so that is where grey comes in. Yellow is my favorite color and there is one floating around here some where that is just dead sexy. It was my wallpaper on my laptop and iPad for a while. Blue is just a good go-to color but common here in Indy. White will give the sleeper appearance which I love. Though with an 8 that is kind of hard to do.

I agree. It should be one of the more rare colors or a custom color because of how unique the car is. I could be biased, though. I have a copper red one. :-)
I also saw this on a facebook forum and thought it was a pretty neat custom color:

If you like dark colors and washing it multiple times a week my vote is for Nordic Green. I absolutely love the color and wouldn't trade it for any. With Nordic green your car will get called black blue green and light grey. Also from my experience people either love it or hate it. Its also one of the rarer colors, only being on the first year of RX8s. NORDIC GREEN FOREVAAAAAA haha

Lightning Yellow, an uncommon color for an uncommon sports car.

Personally I feel black is smart and sophisticated; when clean, it makes the 8 look like a much more expensive car.
On the other hand, black kinda makes the car's interesting lines and angles disappear, so with just a quick glance the car looks like a mysterious cool blob. I think I prefer the middle colors, although Pearl White is subtle and quite beautiful. Yes, I like Copper Red and some of the limited run blu-ish colors. Wish I liked Velocity Red and Winning Blue more, but for some reason they come across to me as a bit cheap and garish; I don't know why.
Mine's a Black Cherry Mica, which I really like. When it's clean it's striking and always gets comments. (One guy on a Harley wanted to know the color so he could paint his tank that.) In the brightest sunlight, it's kind of a deep, deep purple (again, but only when clean). In most daylight it's the color of black cherry soda (probably how it got its name) and it goes quite well with the cream, parchment colored leather seats. When the car is dirty it becomes a nondescript dark brown, and at night it always looks black. Just black.

When I first started looking at these cars I decided that I didn't care for the black, simply because it hides the beautiful curves.
Grey was my nbr 1 choice (then Silver) simply because it shows the curves and yet is classy and sophisticated.
Red was my 3rd choice (which I ended up with), and I couldn't be happier. The red shows the lines of the car well, but also screams FUN!
