I don't see why Mazda cannot run NASCAR. The series basically runs the identical car for every team - only the decals are different. For Mazda to run NASCAR, they'd just have to print up some Mazda decals, paste them on a car and begin racing. (Even the "headlights" are decals).

NASCAR has got to be the ONLY series still exclusively running carburetors on their cars. Except for vintage racing, just how may "stock" cars are running carburetors? Sheesh!
