Compitition or not?

Compitition or not?
Well it seems there are 2 out there if Chevy goes through with the SS concept. The other being the new Saturn Ion coupe
both have the swing out half doors sporty some what in they'er own class.
My impressions on the Ion is what a joke with only 140 HP and close to 3000 LBS. its diffenitly not a Hiway merger. you have to pick and chose when you want to go as its not instantanious SP?
but the chassie is a lot better than the previous SC1 coupe it replaces but still not like a Focus or Protege. Interior is also a little on the cheap side I think the Tiberon I tested had even a better setup in feel, ergonomics, and quality and comfort.
And all for a little over $16,000
And the SS all I was told at the Cleveland Auto Show was it well be somewhat like the GTO but with the half doors It well diffenitly have a V8 with over 300 HP maybe 400 so I'm going to have to get a hold of a GTO and get a somewhat impression about it if GM gets it in production. Price $30,000 to $36,000 at the most.
I now what some of you well say how can you compare a RX8 to a Saturn well like I said earlier they both have the doors and are coupes and it seems C&D have a nack for compairing cars out of they'er class. So a lot of people like to compare it to the Z350
But I looked at the closest in terms of body style. Since both of these have the same type of body and features minus the Rotary
of the RX8.
My veiw the RX8 is still the better value by being under the SS in price and ahead of the Ion in every catagory except more cargo and possably passanger room still have to get in an RX8 to do a fair evaluation of all 3. So whats your take on these vehicles.
