Confirmation Emails on preorders from mazda, anyone?
I read that someone, only one that I've read, got a confirmation email from mazda about their preorder. I have yet to receive mine and was wondering if anyone else has received theirs. As wells as if there is any information that is in the email that they might be willing to share with the group that didn't preorder or has yet to get the email.

I E-mailed Mazda (rx8orders@mazdausa.com) last night and received the following reply today:
"Thank you for contacting Mazda North American Operations. I appreciate the opportunity to respond to you.
Within 30 days of your order being submitted, you should receive an e-mail indicating that your Mazda dealership submitted your request to the factory. After this e-mail, there should be series of other e-mails to keep you updated with the status of your order."
I haven't gotten a confirmation number from my dealer yet either. I am going again tomorrow, wish me luck.

What would be cool is if they wired up a web cam in different locations. Then they could send a picture of your car in different stages. I imagine within their plant systems it would not be to hard to trigger the camera based on something like a bar code on the car tracking sheet. It would be awsome to see the frame enter the line then perhaps the engine unit (Mazda builds the whole drivetrain seperately, front and rear end connected with a support rib that becomes car structure). Pictures of the body after painting would be cool to.

I guess a confirmation number would be a piece of mind. I preordered 2 on the internet and my local dealer never got the request. I finally went in on the 11th and did it in front of him. He printed it and ordered it that night, so he says. Today I am going to see the order list hopefully.
I dig the idea about the WEBCAMS. Everything is barcoded already for sure. You punch in your Personal ID and it tracks your car, or at least the general area of construction. Send the idea on to Mazda!!!!
