Coolant indicator light

It's the float in the overflow tank. Look for the thread "Coolant light on dash" in the tech forum. Common issue. If you're still under B-B warranty a dealer will replace the tank. If not under warranty, you can spend $80 or $100 (depending on year) for a new tank and put it in yourself. Or you can just pull the plug, and check the level manually every now and then.

Like like Ken said, disconnecting the plug is probably the best bet... But first be positive that it is not going off because it is actually low... It can be hard to tell where the fluid is between the empty and full lines on those takns. Add some to be sure that it doesn't need any. Mine was doing that a while back, and I thought it was full and must just be a faulty sensor. But when I added some coolant it went away. Just being a little bit low can make the light come on. So just be sure it isn't just needing you to add some... But, if it actually is just the sensor (which it very well could be), here is a pic of where to disconnect it... Pic came from one of Mazdamaniacs posts...

Its the sensor at the bottom of the tank. This happened to me. All you gotta do it drain the coolant from the bottom of the radiator and remove the coolant tank. Be careful for the top radiator hose as the nipple can become fragile and break easily.
Pull the tank, take the sensor out and clean all the gunk thats on it. Then put everything back together and refill your tank/radiator with new coolant.
Make sure you monitor your coolant level and add if necessary to remove all air bubbles. I'd do this method than spending at least $100 for a new tank which is unnecessary.

Dude this topic has been beaten to death. Why don't we talk about what oil you use instead. Heres an idea use that little search button at the top of the page before making a post like this.
