PA Coolant Light/Engine Oil Light On??

Hey everyone, I recently bought a 2007 RX8 MT. Only 55,900 miles on it and really no problems to my knowledge. I recently had it inspected and thought I was good to. A couple of days ago I noticed when I got out of the car the Engine fan came on for about 10mins before shutting off. The next day I started the car I notice the Line between L and H was at slightly above mid point. I drove for a bit to work and the engine oil light came on. Not sure what to do as I am really not feeling going to the dealer for repairs. Its under warranty, but the dealers just always seem to have a billion other things to add that aren't the solution. Any direction is welcomed.

when did you purchase?
Have you thought of actually checking the oil/coolant? Or, would you like someone from the forum do that for you...

perhaps check the oil level?
please tell me youve done research before buying this car knowing that you have to add oil even once a while because it's designed to burn oil?

Have you ever owned a car before? This kind of question is from a person that has never owned or been around a car.

This would be a good place to start,,,,,,

Check your oil level. Check your coolant level.

It's that simple. Now read your owners manual.

Just keep driving...

...and if you have any spare time check the oil and coolant levels.

The people above are correct. If you have warning lights telling you that a fluid is low, it is best to immediately check that fluid level.

You shouldn't be burning coolant, but it could be overheating and spewing out of the overflow.

You WILL be burning oil. If you aren't then something is terribly wrong and your engine is going to die an early death. This means that you will need to add oil periodically.

I recommend you read the first 9 posts in the first thread in my signature and then go from there.

Closed before this gets any messier.
