coolant light is possessed
No I'm not an idiot... The coolant light comes on (coolant level checked and rechecked by the shop) and will go out when I put it in neutral or slow down considerably. I don't drive excessive this is just normal driving. If I take it to the dealership and the light is out (remember, I can make it go off) then they can't tell me a thing. Has anyone experienced anything like this? I have an '06 Shinka'. The gauge never deviates from normal temps.

Your not an idiot, just the coolant system sometimes has a bad sensor.
Check the sensor, there was another thread regarding this issue
He's an 06 his bumper to bumper or extended may still exist

I had the same problem last year, I took it to the dealer and they told me that one of the hoses was bent therefore the coolant wasnt flowing properly so they fixed ironically enough it just happened to me again today, gotta check the hoses tomorrow.

You better hope he ordered the entire bottle because the sensor won't do you any good as it's molded into the bottle. You change the bottle, or just unplug it(the sensor) and check your fluid level the old school way.......look. Or you could just go with the idiot gauge in the car, it will move if you start to overheat, but I wanna know long before that. The temp is available off the OBDII port so I monitor my temp that way as well as just making sure I look at the level while checking the oil(once a week). I did just get a new bottle and will be putting it in this weekend just for the hell of it.
