Cracked Button
So check this out, I went to dinner with my family at Joe's Crab Shack and when I got back in my car and turned on the headlights.. The red bulbs illuminated the center console and revealed a small crack on my front windshield defroster button.. Anyways.. do you guys think that the warranty will cover this thing?

FWIW the TSB that voodoo linked to refers to the dials that control fan speed and air temp, where as 04MazdaRX8 is talking about the push button that turns on the front windshield defroster.
That being said my rear windshield defroster button cracked in much the same way, a small crack on the face of the button randomly appeared. The dealer did replace the button under warranty. They had to order the button, which took a couple days, but it took them about an hour and a half to do the actual replacement. They have to pull the whole center console out, like replacing the radio. All my presets were gone when I picked the car back up.

Yea I just got back from Courtesy Mazda and it took them 40 minutes to "evaluate" the car. Wow 40 minutes to evaluate a small crack lol. Anyways, they ordered the button and said that they will call me once it is in.
