Yep. There is a couple of threads about it. I thought to myself when others were complaining that I didn't have a problem. Well, it just so happens that this past weekend, the driver side started popping loose.
I reapplied using a better tape.

well we just got our first laying today (only about an inch) it doesn't seem to like the snow much though.

i was out after they cleaned the roads/roads melted so i only had a problem when i hit a patch of ice that the sun didn't melt. i honestly attribute most of it to the tires though since they aren't exactly the best winter tires.

Yup, there's a bunch of threads discussing this - the OEM high performance summer tires (like all high performance summer tires on any car) will SUCK on snow. With proper winter tires, though, the RX-8 does great in snow. If you don't have winter tires - leave the RX-8 parked when it snows.

Regards,
Gordon

Now that it is getting rather cold up here in NH, the logo on my sillplates are also "bending" upwards. Might see if I can get a new set from, the dealer and then use the 3M double-sided tape fix or go with some CF sills.

mine still have the plastic film on them for good luck.

I took my 8 out in the snow (just a dusting) over the weekend with the stock tires, and it wasnt as bad as i thought. I did have it sideways, which is why i wanted a rwd car.

Isn't the normal 3M Double sided tape too thick?
I thought there is a special 3M tape for mounting auto trim that is very thin and durable.

My sills are very loose too. I wouldbe pretty pissed off if I had a $30000+ version of the car and saw how cheaply and poorly the Rx8 sills were put on. And youguys already know about the crappy center storage cover top how it slides off and gets stuck. Mine actually fell off a few weeks ago when I was trying to cover up the storage again and that reallyannoyed me man I mean this car was only 3 months. I havent replaced anything yet from the dealer b/c I think the samething is just going to happen again in a few months but if I bought the GT package w/leather and all bellsandwhistles I would really be disappointed with the interior problems.

I just found out that thereis a service bulletin that has been released a month ago for another piece I forgot tomention that was loose in my car --the airconditioning dials.

http://www.finishlineperformance.com...cs/07-003.html

I looked atthe list of affected VINs and theres a bunch of Rx8s that might have this problem. Right now my fan speed dial is very tight and secure but the temperatureone feelslike its not on right and I bet in another month itll be loose enough to fall off.

I cant believe Mazda would releasetheir flagship car w/ so many interior defects guys!
