I've never had CF on anything before but someone recently told me that if one little rock hits it it goes all to hell? Is it that fragile? If so, why would you want it as a front splitter?

as for CF pieces, I'd like the NAV screen area in CF with a version that allows head units of 1 or 2 DIN sizes as said earlier. I really like that Idea.

Inside the 8, I'd like to see every piece of silver plastic turned into carbon fiber.

I have yet to see much competition in the CF body panels. I would not mind seeing a price war.
CF front fenders
CF bumpers
CF doors
CF rear fenders (maybe even a widebody rear fender...kinda like the FD's)
CF MS wing
CF trunk...maybe...its easier to take weight of the rear and can cause an inbalance to the cars weight distribution.
Since I am gearing more towards racing anything to make the Rx8 lighter is good for me.

i think what your friend meant is that if it does break it shatters into a million razor sharp pieces, but it's not as brittle as glass. i have a carbon fiber hood and it bends like a normal hood if you press on it. most front splitters are carbon fiber i believe.

How about CF hood vents!?!
I would KILL to be able to purchase varis style vents I could cut and install into my factory hood...

As of now I am scouring around trying to find vents from somewhere else...

I think the only profitable pieces for them would be interior pieces only. These are small and you can charge a decent amount for them if its good quality. IMO, the chance of getting 10 people that want body panels(hood, trunk lid, etc) is close to zero. The two pieces attached along the sides of the center tunnel would be a good choice.

CF sunroof panel replacement,
or maybe even better
CF roofpanel?
along the weight savings route
If you could do stock body and interior panels, ie, fenders, front and rear door panels, trunk, hood, bumpers, dash, interior door panels, console etc
think of the weight savings!
