Actually there are people that have done this swap in the RX8 and It's a fairly common swap in RX7's. No one said it's a bad idea. My issue is you seem to be all over the place with what you say you want to do to the car, don't know why you want to do it and clearly don't know what you're talking about.

So forgive me if I'm not giving you much credibility yet.

As stated, it has been done before. There are a couple threads here about one such build that is almost finished. Search!

I was originally trying to help you, but you keep going off on tangents that don't have anything to do with your original question. I'm sure you take care of you car, and want everything in the world for it. If you want our help, you'll have to focus on figuring out what you want, and answer the questions people are asking you. Most of the responses in this thread are picking on you. Your tangents on engine swaps, caring about your car, and basically talking out your *** are what's causing it.

If you want help, keep reading and answer my questions. If not, keep running your mouth and scattering your post more that it is.

So...What is your budget for your suspension?
Do you plan on doing everything at once?
Have you factored better sway bars and endlinks into your budget?
If you are planning on an engine swap, this will effect your suspension due to weight differences and where the weight is. You'll have to account for that in your suspension if you want the most out of it.

Also, have you done any formal drivers training? HPDE's? AutoX? These will help you more than any mod if you want to run Time Trials and/or drift.

Learn how to drive first.

It will take you one year perhaps two.

Then thin about modding your car if you and her are still alive.

I dont have a budget because i can afford whatever i desire .. No i dont plain on doing everything at once i plain on spacing things out. Yeah i have factored better sway bars into my budget. No i have not done any formal driving training yet because the class isnt until April but i do drive the same way for fun because my bf and all his friends do it all the time and as do i. as for wanting the help i was just asking if they were good or not i wasnt asking for all the bs answers and being picked on.. no matter what you guyes say im gonna do what i wanna do because Its my car and its my Money to begin with so i dont see what all the ******* comments are for because i was just asking for opinons if they were good or not i wasnt askin for all the other bullshit.. i didnt know how complicated it was to give a basic opinon on coils.

I think what they are trying to say is that if your asking questions about coilovers and improving suspension than doing a LS1 swap is way way out there. Also how you drive and race on the street is not the proper way to do autox or time attack. You do realize that when you swap out the engine for an LS1 it will not be very "streetable"

I know you say you can afford anything you desire but have you calculated the costs of doing that swap?

You need to come here with a learning attitude and maybe you'll avoid making yourself look like as *** in the future. Car looks good btw. Nice wheels.

Having more money than sense and bragging about it really doesn't make you any friends. Good luck. *unsubscribes*

This is what I'm getting at. If you're serious about getting to the track, I would skip all 3 brands that you're talking about. H&R only offers the street performance series, which is exactly that. A street setup with adjustable ride height. Tein offers a few different setups, but none of the ones offered for the 8 are really a track setup. I've heard both good and bad about the flex series, but would probably go another route if I were buying them. IF you want the best, fork over a ton of cash and get Motons or Ohlins. KW Varient 3's are quite affordable and a good overall track oriented setup. They are also easy to come by. Check with the vendors here, they'll get you the best pricing and can get you set up with exactly what you're looking for. Quite a few of them have time attack prepped 8's and can give you expert advice.

Good luck to you.

ok what im getting mad is that people are being ******** for no reason when its not needed.
I do have money to buy whatever i want and people asked what i want to do to my car which is why i said all the other things that i want to do with my car. Im not jumping from thing to thing when people ask me what i want i tell them what my plains are. as for coming here with a learning attitude i was just asking people for thier opinon about those particular brands i wasnt asking for all this other comments.

Thanks they are 19' Oz Racing Rims. $ 946.00 a rim and they came with my car when i baught it which i was suprised for them to be so much ..

For someone who join in 09 you seem to have a decided lack of idea on what to expect here.... If you come off as having an attitude you will be treated as such... most people coming here for answers come off quite a bit different.
