Damaged Seat
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've had my car for 16 months and I just realized that the left bolster of my driver seat has cracks (I know this is normal), but it is also starting to peal. Is this a dealer issue or am I stuck with the problem? If this is the case, what can I do to improve the situation? Wondering if anyone is dealing with the same issue?

Maybe you can argue that it's a defect? Chances are, Mazda will say that's "normal".
Maybe putting leather/vinyl/plastic care products on it may help future peeling. Maybe a custom interior shop could re-do that area for you?

dannobre, can you explain what was the actual defect on your seat? Going to the dealer on Friday and I hope to have a good argument. Can't understand why this material would peal. Pics to come...thank you for the suggestions and replies.

The vinyl delaminated near the side seam on the drivers seat where the arm bolster is. I had about 25K miles on the car. They didn't even question that it was a defect.
If it isn't a cut, and the material failed...I'd be giving them grief if they don't fix it!

Dunno if this is a close enough issue, but there's a related tech bulletin - "CHIPS AND SCRATCHES IN FRONT SEATBACK COVER - LEATHER SEATS" http://www.finishlineperformance.com...ins_index.html
