So I was complainining to my buddy who was a state transportation engineer, he said file a claim with the Department of Transportation. Looks like I could get paid back for my two wheels since according to him, the state carries liability insurance for jobs like these and they often pay.
Good luck on your wheel search. BTW, I am running 18's also, really seriously looking at going back to 16 or 17 for extra sidewall comfort and reliability.
I know, I filed a 2 new tires claim before, it cost me 520 bux to install and the city gave me 450, not too bad, I just took the deal. (Took them almost 1/2 year to get my money back tho ...)

I dont think there are alot of people know that they can file such a claim with the city .... when I was there, people were watching TV there ....

So I guess Im going to do the same thing this time. Just thinking which way should I go

Plan A : Replace 2 broken wheels with Recondition ones.

Plan B : Replace 2 Broken wheels with Brand new OEM ones.

Plan C : Replace 2 Broken wheels with recondition ones, store them for winter set from now on, buy myself another set for Summer ONLY.

I think Plan B is retarded. but if I dont have to pay for it(city), I dont see why not.

Thinking Thinking ...... gimme more input guys !

Also remember you can order new Shinka wheels from Rosenthal Mazda for $460 each (free shipping), a little less than the $505 they quoted you.

(Also, Wheel Collision Center may have reconditioned Shinka wheels at a good price. You have to give them your old ones as part of the deal.)
At that price I would rather get some MS wheels instead .....

I dont know, Still thinking ......... its a big decision cuz it might be my *only* thing I can do for the whole year for my 8......

Same here...getting new tires mounted and was told left front wheel was bent. I am really leaning towards just getting a new aftermarket set, especially at $500 a piece for an OEM replacement.
I'm looking to go 18x8.5 or 18x9 for my goodyear f1's in 245/40/18.

Do you guys think this tire would work on an enkei RPF1 18x9.5?

you should probably go to 255 tires on a 9.5" wide wheel

Ok, another question, besides Tirerack, Edgeracing and Discounttiredirect. and all the forum vendors.

Where would you guys to go to shop for Wheels ? Im looking for Enkei, Advan, MS, or Rays.

Many of the site dont list the Specs so I have no way to tell if its going to be a *bolt on*. (and lower prices ... of course)
