more roadkill stories pleeeze!!! luv them
*sick and twisted*
my friends hit a deer in their rental car southbound on I-65 on the way from Chicago to the Indy 500. Sucker got air, was launched across the grass median, around 50 feet, came to rest almost into the northbound lanes. Totally screwed up their hood and bumper. Thank God they weren't in their good car

^ Haha ok. Let's see I've also hit a squirrel it was a dumb squirrel that didn't move out of the way. Just a little bump and that was that nothing really cool.
I hit a turkey vulture. The damn thing was eating a dead deer corpse and as I was coming down the road going a good 70mph at like 5:30am it decided to take a step back from the shoulder and into my lane. It hit my front right fender and flew a good 30 ft into a ditch.
But my favorite was on the Bay Bridge in MD. On my way home, sometimes the seagulls like to hang out on the bridge up top on the structure. One was flying pretty low and a big wind gust came by the bird dipped down and hit the windshield of the my car then rolled back into the grill of a 18 wheeler. Haha

I hit a deer in high school in my old ford probe. It was bouncing of the rev-limiter at 120mph when I clipped it. It took out the entire side of my car. It only had 500 miles on it. My parents were pissed

lol squirrels are stupid they will run back and forth sometimes even if you have a chance to dodge them and you'll still end up owning them. same with rabbits. guess thats part of living in a forest

Sorry to here about your run-in with an armadillo. You can try the discount Mazda dealers on here and on Google. I looked and looked and could not find used BB appearance front end. I ended up buying new. I did find rotary crest knockoffs on eBay and bought one that I could not tell was fake. Make sure it's aluminum. I got it for like 20 bucks.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Well, on the topic of Ford Probes, my dad hit a deer on Kent Island in his brand new Probe, just as you had. And for me, the most interesting road kill story I have is on two seperate occasions where suicidal birds dive bombed into the front of my car. They were flying straight at me playing chicken, and guarantee you they lost. It was interesting watching them somersalt over my car as I was looking through my t-tops (this happend in my camaro back in high school).

Edit: oops, should've read the rest of the posts before my post... now I see the seagulls dipped down to you. I thought you were flying! lol

I have the best roadkill story, but it's way too gross..... oh okay I'll tell.
Way before I had the 8 I was driving near the river and this huge bird -- I didn't even see it coming, so I don't know what kind it was -- hit dead center on the windshield and freaking [B]exploded[B]! Seriously, all I could see was blood from top to bottom and edge to edge of the entire windshield. I had to put the wipers on and spray it down so I could see to drive, all the while trying not to puke. so nasty!

I am praying to the Mazda GOD right now!!!! Last night while I was driving home from work, a tractor trailer decided to split off a piece of shrapnel. And it went into my lane and I had no where to go. I heard it hit my car and I wanted to cry. After inspecting where I "think" it hit, I see no damn. God I hope this is the truth and I am just not missing it...

Got the best one, some of you may have seen the original post I started months ago. I was headed back on my long drive back to NC from TX. It was pretty late at night, I had just left some little town and was cruising around 60mph when literally out of nowhere a f'ing wild pig walked in to my lane. No time for me do anything...here's the result.
Over $4k in damage but she's good to go now.

You scared me with that post, so I had to go outside and check agian. She looks ok. But I really will not be able to tell until I detail her tomorrow. There are bug splatters all over the front of her.
