Damn weather

Well, I am sittign at work today and I start to hear ting ting ting and look outside and start seeign hail the size of quarters. After it stopped raining I went outside to look at the damage. I am th eonly person at work that had damage because of the aluminum hood. The problem is that the damage isn't even that bad it is like 4 or 5 dents and tere is one on the roof where it got knocked good. I am debatign whethere to put in a claim or not. I am an investigator for a country wide insurance company and can value the damages. i know what the damages are. They aren't huge but it will annoy me just seeing the dents. I may just go with a carbon fiber hood. Anyone know where to get a decent deal on a good quality one. Well sorry to rant for a bit just really mad

Surely you know that paintless dent removal will do a great job on that, right?

Yes, definitely call PDR! That's a BIG part of their business—kinda their specialty.

I know I just don't want to be hit with an enormous bill never really dealt with them to often honestly. Deal with mostly body shops. Do they give free estimates?

Always free estimates, and cost is a tiny fraction of traditional bodyshop ****. I just got a 1" x 2" door ding taken out of my right rear fender arch, totally gone, as if it were never there, and it was $75.00!

Try a heat gun and dry ice.

Not sure where you are. In my area, I've used a Dentwizard franchisee before and a Dentbusters franchisee. I think it's all about the guy ... ask him to show you results before you sign for the work. Go in the morning for an estimate, and have him show you one of the cars for that day's work - tell him you want to stop by after that car is done to view the results. They will ALWAYS do that, and are very prideful of their work quality. Trust me you will be over the moon with the results and no after-market paint on your ride.

I appreciate all the help folks. I ended up finding a few more dents after I waxed my car this weekend. All together 4 in hood, 1 in fender, 2 in roof and one in the roof trim panel. I think the trim panel would most likely just be replaced. It seems liek I am just gonna put an insurance claim in and repair the roof and possible grin and bear it until i can either get hood repaired or replaced with carbon fiber.
