Well its been almost three weeks since we got the new Titanium 8.
And the rumored "Curse of the Gray's" is coming true,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
So far in the first two day's of ownership We managed to get a rock chip in the windshield. Down on the lower right corner.
Well today I am driving down the freeway (US60) and all of a sudden BANG!
And a rock lands in the lower half of the center of the windshield.
well now I have 2 little circles in the windshield,,,,,,,,Arrrrgh.
Then, also today, just to top it off,,I was driving along a surface street and all of a sudden out of a parking lot comes this big white Cadillac Sedan De'ville,right in front of me! Well I slam on the brakes and they screech and slide and screech and slide. Didn't even have time to honk the horn. Came about 5 feet away from plowing in his drivers door.
I do like the brakes on this car. I now have a bit of respect for them.
Well it ain't over yet ,,a mile or so down the road I am sitting at a red light at the cross walk, when all of a sudden I hear screeching tires. Look into the rear view mirror and see a Nissan Altima smoking his left front tire trying to stop before he plows into my ***! I step on the gas and slide through the cross walk, luckely their were no cars coming from my left so I was safe halfway into the intersection. He finally stopped about where I was waitng at the light. I am just glad no one was in front of me.
My God we have only had this one for 3 weeks now. Guess I better keep a sharp eye out!

 

Dam bro that sucks!... I picked up a 96 pick up truck with 60K for $1,400 thats my daily beater. Cuz my apartments towed my old "bucket" and I dont want to drive my 8 in this town during rush hour.

Heck yeah, handling and brake help out a lot. I dodge idiots often, too...I leave plenty of room in all directions possible and keep a sharp look out for everyone else on the road...they're all a danger!

Oh, and I'm glad to read about the rock chips...I saw the title of this thread and was ready to say, "Oh no, sorry to hear it," and "At least your alright."

 

for the next couple weeks.. wear a helmet.... just 2 b safe... and put like a frign rabbits foot in ur car..lol.
