Coolant Light.

a) You are low on coolant.
-Top off your coolant reservoir
b) Your sensors are shot
-Call Mazda dealership, have it confirmed, leave Mazda Dealership, get it done somewhere
where your butt won't hurt after you pay to get it replaced.

EDIT: You are looking at the wrong page in the manual btw, go like a page or 2 before the one you are looking at, it is there, I promise it.

Common problem. It's the coolant sensor that is shot. A quick search here will tell you everything you need to know

Coolant for sure. Have it checked right away. You don't want to over heat the engine, do you...

Please tell us how a faulty sensor overheats an engine.

common problem most people have it with their rx8. i had that problem too, just that mine would pop out when I would be going around 70mph as a constant speed. turns out it was the coolant sensor. the only way to solve the problem is to change the entire coolant tank
