Dead Bugs & Critters

I've got all kinds of dead bugs and critters on my rx8 on the front bumper.

What is the best product to use to remove these dead bugs and critters?

Thanks.

P.S. Sorry to post this again as I've already posted this in the Show & Shine section but did'nt get too many responses. Apologize for that.

just go to walmart or an auto store and grab a bug and tar remover. they are all made of the same stuff, so really doesnt matter.

If the car is waxed throughly, it should come off with ease. Just place a warm, wet towel and let it sit (2 - 10 mins). Should just wipe off after soaking.

Sure, it'll keep the bugs off, and destroy your paint finish all by itself! :p

Bra is BAD idea (ugly too), get the 3M Scotchcal clear protection film (clear bra) - find a www.xpel.com dealer.

Regards,
Gordon

I'm going with the majority on this one. I use the paper towel and water spray myself and it works like a champ. No chemicals to irritate Sybil either...:D

I bought 2 different brands of bug remover. None worked very well, especially when the bugs have dried off on the bumper. The wet towel (soaped to get rid of the greasy residue) method should work.

I've never had trouble removing bugs while I wash the car. As Meowloud said, if you keep a good coat of wax (or Zaino) on the car, the bugs come off with little resistance.

Windex works wonderfully. It's a detailing secret I picked up back when I used to show my cars.

Lucky he has protection! Imagine all that getting caught in the radiators/coolers if he didn't have his Hymee grills :D

Add to think they are the #001 in the world!

Cheers,
Hymee.

Thumbs up

Ok I have the miracle solution for BUGS, TAR, Grease, and any other nasty stuff that sticks to your car !!!! Ready ... here it is ...........

It is made by Honda and it is called "Spray cleaner & polish" Black can with a diaginal white stripe and Pink writing. You can get it in any motorcycle shop. It is AWSOME !! You spray it on and buff it off. Off come the bugs and crap ..... leaving polished shine !! I bought a case of 12 cans and I'll never be with out it again.
Good Luck !!

By the way .. I just joined tonight and I didn't even pick up my car yet. Getin a red 6 speed. Can hardly wait !!

A number of years ago, I was told that Windex would ruin a car's finish... Are you serious about using it?

I didn't see anyone else comment on this, I'm really curious.

ammonia in windex breaks down wax..enough use of it will eat the clear coat too. use spray/spot detailer or warm water.

or be like me and refuse to drive on the highway in may and september

Everywhere in the world birds **** like crazy... if only I had a sawed-off shotgun! I hate it when people feed them lil' f*cks
As for the bugs,I'll try the towel. There's only one way no bug to hit your car: drive with heavy rain!
