Is the dealer lying to me?
So, recently my wife (on my behalf) went to a couple of dealerships near Norfolk, VA looking for a manual GT in black. They told her that there are only two '11 manual GTs left in the country, one in silver and one in red. Are they trying to pull one over on her, or am I screwed. I really want my new car.

I think they are full of crap and just wanted you to settle for what they have. A quick autotrader search for new, black, manual, 2011, dealerships only, "Grand Touring" returned 28 results. None of them look to be too close to Norfolk, VA tho (all 350miles+ distance).

Thanks guys. That's kinda what I was thinking. I did contact a dealership that was a little further that had a new 2011 listed in inventory, but I they didn't actually have the car. I'll try the autotrader. I actually wouldn't mind getting an '09 or '10. Used wouldn't be a problem but I'd rather have new for the warantee and better interest rate. Where is that BMW dealership located?

Yea, I saw the "inventory" from the mazda website. After contacting a few dealerships it wasn't entirely accurate. I did actually find a new '10 about 500 miles away with nav for $28K and change from going on autotrader.com. The wife is working the deal with them. I do have a question though. She's saying that she liked the black on the '11 model better than '10. I didn't think they were any different. Is there a difference in the paint between the two years, and is that difference worth about 5K?
