You could probably find one with a little less milage for about the same price. I bought mine out here near San Fran last month...27K, black, nav, etc....asking $18,995. With 52K, you don't get a warranty unless you purchase one through the dealer...for extra $$.

I just bought my rx8 yesterday and got it for 16,228 out the door (no tax, extra charges etc.). It's an 04' silver, automatic 41,000 miles, not gt, not leather, but anyways me being short on cash only being 18, i had to settle for it considering its the lowest ive found in at least 6 months of searching.

I wish I could find a deals like that out here in the Atlanta Metro area. Finding an RX8 with that kind of mileage out there for under 20K is hard to do. Cheapest I have seen without going over 50K miles was 17,998. It had a sunroof so I could not actually drive it. I am too tall.

Was it Brown's you went to, on Route 1? Try Rosenthal at Arlington or Tyson's Corner - they may have better deals. Maybe if you went in with a printout from eBay it might help.

are you dead set on buying from a stealership or would you buy person to person? if you have it checked out you should feel as confident buying from an individual and should save you some cash. what is your timeline on buying? if you're patient you can find some good deals. plus it might be good to look in the for sale threads here and PM those individuals with what you are willing to pay. just a thought.

if it's used, you don't know who owned it before regardless of person to person or at a dealership. you really think a dealership knows the previous owner? they just gave the old owner no money, spit and shined it, then put it on the blocks. and you can get financing through any bank for person to person - that's what i did. try your bank and ask them for private seller rates and then check other banks. it's well worth your while.

Rip off. Too many miles. Overpriced. Hope there isn't a sucker who buys that.

I wouldn't get any RX-8 unless it had some warranty left on it.

For that, I'd want $16K.

this is true but if the guy is only going to look at dealerships this is about as good as he's going to get.

you can probably get them down closer to $17K but for someone that doesn't want to worry about the previous owner's problems, why would you want one so close to the end of the warranty period?

None of us would have bought this car if that was true.

2005 AT - Ti Gray - Sunroof/Bose/18"/No Nav/No leather - but thats cool - leather is hot in Ga. Full engine assembly replacement due to recall. 9700 miles. Full Warranty extended 12mo/12k miles. Bought at dealer for 17,995$.

Am keeping my fingers crossed - no probs so far (about 600 miles). Think you can do better.
