oh, everybody that rode in my car definately noticed it, that's for sure. My g/f who barely knows anything about cars in general, recognized the rough idle right as I turned my car on.

Go to a different dealer. I noticed once you go to one dealer alot, they lie. One dealership tried telling me its normal for the transmission to grind into second gear if I shift, and that I was causing syncro damage by shifting above 2K, another dealer told me its normal for my car to smell like exhaust fumes inside (which hasnt been fixed yet dammit!) So dont trust everything these ******* dealers tell you. Get a second and third opinion

The rough idle could be caused by your engine seals being worn, and cracked; and not holding its seal, is what happened to me but in three fold as my clutch went out just after the rough idle got nuts.

Mine would hop from 500-1250-750-1500-1000-500 and repeat mostly.

But had that problem when I was getting my transmission seals fixed (when I had to get mazda corporate on their buts)

So when I finally got the car towed to mazda and they fixed the clutch. First the service guy test drove the car and said nothing was wrong.
But the service Manager who I now deal with Test drove my car before he wanted to release it to me cause he suspected something wrong with it when I told him what has been happening worse for the last 3 days before my 8 died.

And no surprise when he took her threw her paces and got her hot he had the exact same problems I have been having.

So he kept my car. I finally got a rental since that is warrenty work. And they ordered and replaced the engine.

So I strongly request you to change dealerships or make your self heard loudly by their bosses.

And I even got a free oil change out of it cause I noticed that the car was lately drinking more oil then usual. As I top her off every 4 fill ups. And when the rough ideling and the funking reving when my foot is off the gas was getting worse I was topping her off every 2 fill ups. And the oil got dirty twice as fast.
