Insanely Yellow
My Acura dealership washed everything that came through - that's an Acura-required thing for Acura service - part of the "Total Luxury Care" program (TLC).
So far, my Mazda dealer hasn't touched it.
OK, so if Zaino is supposed to be "all that and a bucket of chicken" how is it that six coats can be removed with one carwash? That doesn't sound right ...
I use Malms pure Carnauba and re-apply every month. My car always shines like a mirror and always has tight water beads ...

What beachdog said. It's just simple communication. Before doing anything to a car a dealer should ask. OTOH, if an owner is crazed enough to maintain a car like beachdog or I do, they should think ahead and politely ask the dealer not to mess it up. (I would also be a mensch and answer "Yes" to the Mazda survey question. Everybody wins.)
Not much, maybe $2 worth of Z-2 polish, $2 worth of ZFX accelerator and $10-15 worth of Z-6 enhancer spray to reapply the five coats.
It's just the time involved, and also the timing. Autumn is here and winter is approaching. Who knows if our New England weather would hold off long enough for me to get that many coats back on the car? And winter is when it's needed most of course. Zaino will strip off in a second if it rains Dawn dishwashing detergent,
but it's virtually impenetrable to bugs, road tar and general grime. That stuff slides off the car if I just look at it hard enough!

what exactly would that cost?

My dealer also washes my car, even when I've asked them not to. Last time I dropped it off for oil I didn't bother even asking, thinking it was just going to get me pissed off when they ignored me. This time when I got it back it looked far worse than when I dropped it off -- lots of water stains everywhere. I took it home and immediately rewashed it.
Zaino is easy to remove with Dawn or any other soap that has a very akaline pH. I always make sure I use Zaino wash or buy soap that has a label saying that it will not strip wax. I assume that any car wash would know this and would use only soap made for washing cars, as I assume Zaino wax isn't the only type of wax that can be stripped with an akaline wash.
